Starting, stopping and restarting your server

You can control power from your NGP Cloud dashboard or from the game panel. Both do the same thing - use whichever is open.

From the dashboard

  1. Open your Dashboard → Overview.
  2. Find your server. Its current state (Running, Starting, Stopping, Offline) is shown next to it.
  3. Use the buttons:
    • Start (play icon) - boots the server.
    • Restart (circular arrow) - stops and starts it again.
    • Stop (square icon) - shuts it down cleanly.

From the game panel

  1. Click Manage Panel, or go to panel.ngpcloud.in and open your server.
  2. On the Console page, use Start, Restart or Stop at the top right.

Stop vs. Kill

Stop sends the game's normal shutdown command, so worlds and data are saved first. If a server is frozen and won't stop, the panel offers Kill, which ends the process immediately.

The server won't start

  • Watch the Console while it boots - the error that stops it is almost always printed there.
  • See Server crashes or won't start for the most common causes.
