How to whitelist players and give operator permissions

Lock your Minecraft server to approved players and hand out admin (operator) access using the console - from Discord or your dashboard.

Send console commands

You can run any Minecraft server command through the NGP Cloud Discord bot with /command server_id:<your server> cmd:<command>, or from the Console tab in your dashboard, which streams live output the same way.

Turn on the whitelist

  1. Send whitelist on to switch the whitelist on.
  2. Add each player with whitelist add <username>.
  3. Remove someone with whitelist remove <username>.
  4. Check who's on it with whitelist list.

Give operator (admin) permissions

Send op <username> to make a player an operator - this gives them admin commands in-game (kick, ban, gamemode, and more, depending on your server software's op levels). Remove admin access with deop <username>.
