How to create and use API keys from your dashboard

Create an API key to manage your own servers programmatically - list them, check live resource usage, run power actions, and manage backups.

Create a key

  1. Open your dashboard and go to the API tab.
  2. Under Create a New Key, give it a name (so you remember what it's for later) and click Create Key.
  3. Copy the key immediately - it's shown to you exactly once and can't be retrieved again after you leave the page. If you lose it, revoke it and create a new one.

Use the key

Send it as a bearer token on every request:

Revoke a key

Back on the API tab, find the key in Your Keys and revoke it. A revoked key stops working immediately and can't be un-revoked - create a new one if you need access again.
