Connect to your server with SFTP
SFTP lets you move large files - worlds, modpacks, backups - between your computer and your server with a desktop app. It's faster and more reliable than browser uploads.
Get your SFTP details
- Open your Dashboard → SFTP.
- Pick your server. You'll see:
- IP Address (host)
- Port (often
2022) - Username (looks like
yourname.02540e49)
- Your password is your game panel password.
You can also find the same details in the panel under Settings → SFTP Details.
Connect with FileZilla
- Download FileZilla and open it.
- Go to File → Site Manager → New site.
- Set Protocol to SFTP - SSH File Transfer Protocol.
- Enter the Host and Port from your dashboard.
- Set Logon Type to Normal, then enter your User and Password.
- Click Connect. Accept the host key prompt the first time.
Connect with WinSCP (Windows)
- Open WinSCP and choose New Site.
- File protocol: SFTP. Enter the host name, port, username and password.
- Click Login.
Connect from the command line
sftp -P 2022 yourname.02540e49@203.0.113.10
Replace the port, username and IP with your own values.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Fix |
|---|---|
| Authentication failed | Use your panel password, and make sure the username includes the .serverid part. |
| Connection timed out | Check the port - it's not 21 or 22. Some school or office networks block non-standard ports. |
| Permission denied when uploading | Stop the server before replacing files it has open, such as world data. |
